Amsterdam Bateau is a association of english speaking guides who propose guided tours of Amsterdam. We are a young group, flexible and profesionnal, who organize tours every day, on demand. By boat of course, or by bike, or just to discover the city museums.

Amsterdam in the heart

The story of Paul is very nice. Young dutch business student, Paul was also passionate about his city of Amsterdam : its history, its culture and its little secrets. To make ends meet, but also by pleasure, he played the role of guide to finance his studies. During three years, he strid along Amsterdam in different languages - dutch and french, his native languages ; but also in english, german or even spanish.

Back from an exchange trip in Barcelona, il discovers his vocation. Putting his formation and linguistic skills at the service of his passion, he decides to run his own office in Amsterdam, mainly for francophones.

Dedicated services for francophones

He starts without bike nor office : from his small appartment in the Pijp, he makes his communication, prospect in France and finds arrangements with near bike rental offices. In less than four years, his small business grew significantly. Visits for tourists in mop, Paul enlarges his offers and services.

Paul, along Amsterdam Bateau, launched in 2012 his company Amsterdam Événements, an events agency specialised in services for institutions and companies. Now well established in the domain of francophone events, Amsterdam Bateau still preserves a simple mind, friendly and accomodating… So many qualities of its director.
